I suppose everyone has their share of 'fair weather friends', correct? That doesn't mean we enjoy them anymore. However, it's actually astounding to what degree my 'best friends' take this.
I'll admit openly, I'm a terribly angry person. The littlest thing can set me off. So, because of this, I will snap at my friends on occasion, leaving them angry and bitter. Our fights are usually small and involve little effort to make up. Although, this time, it seems to be different.
A short summary of our friendship: there are four of us. Three girls and one boy. The boy and on of the girls dated for a year and a half, then broke up. Boy left the group, and still hung out with me, whereas the girls dropped us both. After 2 weeks, boy got a new girlfriend and dropped me too. Then, after 2 two month pause (my 'punishment' period, I suppose.) my girl friends started talking to me again. We got better, everyone was good etc. etc. Then girl 1 hooked up with girl 2's new boyfriend. Hence, the fighting started once again.
Boy and his new girlfriend broke up after 8 months. Oh, I forgot to mention, I had a thing for boy for years. Okay, then boy's most recent ex was stalking him. Then he started going back out with girl 2 (the first girlfriend) and they got all lovey dovey. So, 2 weeks into their relationship, they got each other promise rings.
Ooo-kay. :S So, those two and the Girl 1 and her boyfriend (the one she hooked up with behind Girl 2's back) are all constantly hanging out, thus dropping me entirely.
And they blame me. Because I'm 'ruining our friendships.' I don't see how that is, actually, considering I ask them to hang out.
But wait, there's more, as soon as a problem arises with them, or they need something, I'm their BFF again. like, omg, thats soooo totaly wat i want in life! Gah. So, even now, they're entirely dependant on me to solve their problems, because I always put myself into a 'mothering' role.
So now, I sit at home most weekends, and play facebook games for hours.
Anyone else do this?
